119 [01:42:28] <jnagyjr> I'm having issues with detecting a network printer. It's a Kyocera FS-4100DN. I know for certain it's IP address (set by my router), and that it works (have it available for windows devices and some Android devices). None of the drivers I've tried through the default printer setup utility seem to be working, and I can't find much in the way of relevant tutorials on the replaced-url
120 [01:43:24] <sney> jnagyjr: try adding it from the cups interface at replaced-url

229 [03:49:12] <jnagyjr> I'm giving up for tonight. I'm going to have to think on this some and rn I'm too frustrated. It's not 100% important to have the printers (I have another network printer to add, too) on this laptop, would just be nice. :-/ Thanks for the help, it's definitely got me going in the right direction.

1150 [16:03:06] <forester> Hullo. I have read on Distrowatch this: For example, every package was compiled without SELinux or AppArmor. Also the kernel is configured for better security, without compromise. The question is what about debian's packages? What they do use: SELinux or AppArmor? And the second question is about security: if the distro above does not use SElinux and AppArmor, then how it could be "better security"?
