508 [09:24:53] <Alta30> Hello everybody! I'm having 'a bit of' a problem with bridge-utils. I've set up a Debian machine as a netowrk switch and gateway. The machine has a bridge interface that combines multiple ethernet interfaces. All of them have their own mac address but only the bridge interface has an ip address. I have one machine that tries to get the mac address of this machine. But whenever this machine responds with
509 [09:24:59] <Alta30> the mac address of one of those interfaces, it responds with the mac of another interface than the one that is directly connected to the client machine. Because of that the machine is unable to establish a connection to any machine, including my gateway. If I manually change the mac address of the gateway on the client machine to the directly connected interface, everything starts working. Can anybody help
510 [09:25:05] <Alta30> me to fix this mess? I can't seem to find a good solution to all of this... :(
511 [09:27:00] <Alta30> Any help, including pointers to other places that may be more likely to know how to fix this would be highly appreciated!
