1159 [15:24:22] <yuastnav> since owncloud is not available on debian what is everyone using?

1161 [15:24:34] <Tom-_> (although the 1 GB of RAM really does limit things)
1162 [15:24:44] <GNU_xormor> the stretch-backports tried to install new graphics drivers that are not supported by my hardware so it asked me if I wanted to keep the old drivers. I said "keep the old graphics drivers". later I installed the other than nouveau, something called "legacy 3004x" or something. the graphics seem to work almost properly, except sometimes KDE has glitches. has always had with all systems I have used.

I remember when I was a child in the 1990's, I was a teenager, we had first 4MB of RAM and then 8MB of RAM. Gol dang that is antique. Now we have at least 1GB, could have 4GB or even more. the systems we ran in the beginning of 1990's often supported 32 bit architecture and were it, but the MS-DOS limited it to 16 bits unless an extension program was used. 32 bit is now outdated, we

1446 [18:38:30] <jhutchins> fijidrummerboii: You could install both the realtime and the standard kernel. Use the standard as your default for desktop usage, the realtime when you need that specific character.
