1625 [21:13:15] <mcordingley> There was either a bug in nouveau or I had some sort of misconfiguration going on. Switching drivers blew whatever the problem was away. I'm hoping that I can switch back to Nouveau sooner or later, either after the bug has been fixed or that doing a full installation and then purge of the Nvidia drivers would get me back to a clean slate. Either way, I have a working system again.
